The Brief: McGoff & Vickers were invited to assist the facilities management team in updating the security system throughout the whole Office of National Statistics building.

The Process: We advised on the planning of the installation to overcome the difficulties of working in an occupied building. Working in conjunction with the client's FM company, Interserve, we produced a programme which involved changing the working hours of our engineers in order to minimise disruption to the offices during the working day. This was only possible by flexible working and co-operation with both our on-site team and the client.

Result: Calling on our in-house resources we were able to provide a solution within the client's operational and budget constraints. We handed over the project after training the staff in the operation of the system, and supplying them with all relevant operational and maintenance information.
